Not a snorkel site - Not generally suitable - strong currents and depth make this a scuba-only site, not offered as a snorkel stop

Strong, converging currents that can change direction/strength mid-dive, need for reverse-profile dive planning and dive computer use, described by experienced local guides as never diving the same way twice; nitrox recommended to extend safe bottom time

Permits & fees

Site lies within the Roatan Marine Park (part of the Bay Islands National Marine Park); a voluntary $10 RMP user fee (bracelet or token) supports park conservation and is collected by West End dive shops, no other special permit required
