Snorkelling

Not a snorkel site - Not really viable - tidal flow is too strong through the main channel; snorkeling better in sheltered lagoon shallows elsewhere on the atoll

Safety notes

Very strong tidal currents, remote location with no medical/chamber facilities, weather-dependent access, no overnight stay permitted on Aldabra itself

Permits & fees

Requires prior authorization/permit from the Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF), which manages Aldabra as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Special Reserve
