Safety notes

Deteriorating structure - top deck peeling from the hull, collapsed armoured control tower, unstable deck plates and exposed wiring; entanglement in fishing gear/loose wires; silt-outs and disorientation inside collapsed sections; an experienced local guide is recommended

Permits & fees

No per-dive permit required; the Big Seven are not designated war graves (crews were rescued after scuttling) so are open to sport diving, but removal of artefacts is prohibited as they are protected historic wrecks
