Not a snorkel site - Not viable as a dedicated snorkel site - exposed offshore reef with strong currents, surface breakers and depths of 20m+; effectively a boat-diver-only site

Notorious shipping hazard reef marked by a cardinal bell buoy; strong currents, short slack windows, heavy surge/breaking waves even in calm seas, boat traffic near the shipping hazard, entanglement risk in wreckage/fishing gear

Permits & fees

Not a Protection of Wrecks Act designated site - no dive licence required; site lies within the Runnel Stone Marine Conservation Zone so general MCZ conservation rules apply (no take of protected features)
