Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 2 July 2026

This policy sets out the rules for using Manta, operated by Manta Travel Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202629831Z) (“we”, “us”). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By using Manta, you agree to follow these rules — both for your own activity and for the content you share with your group.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Manta — account holders and anyone who takes part in a trip through a shared link or invitation. If you organise a trip, you are also responsible for helping the people you invite understand and follow these rules.

2. Things you must not do

When using Manta, you must not:

  • Break the law, or use the service to plan, promote, or carry out anything illegal.
  • Infringe anyone’s rights — including privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, or contractual rights.
  • Harass, threaten, bully, defame, or discriminate against other people, or incite others to do so.
  • Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with them.
  • Post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that endangers the safety of others.
  • Share another person’s private or personal information without their permission (“doxxing”).

3. Content standards

You are responsible for the content you add to a trip — wishlists, plans, surveys, documents, journal entries, photos, and messages — and for having the right to share it with your group.

  • Only upload content you own or have permission to use, and that does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Do not upload malware, or content designed to harm, deceive, or defraud other members of a trip.
  • Keep shared spaces respectful — a trip is a group setting, and content is visible to the people you invite.

4. Protecting the service

To keep Manta safe and available for everyone, you must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, trip, system, or data, or bypass any security or access control.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, or interfere with its normal operation (for example, denial-of-service attempts).
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the service, or use bots or automated means except through interfaces we provide for that purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except to the extent the law permits.
  • Use the service to send spam, chain messages, or other unsolicited or bulk communications.

5. Reporting abuse or violations

If you see content or behaviour on Manta that breaks these rules — including abuse, harassment, or content that infringes your rights — please tell us at support@wemanta.com. Include enough detail (such as the trip or content involved) for us to look into it.

If you believe content on the service infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at the same address with a description of the work, where it appears, and your contact details, and we will review and respond.

6. What happens if you break these rules

If you breach this policy, we may — depending on the seriousness — remove or restrict access to content, issue a warning, or suspend or terminate your account, as described in our Terms of Service. Where we reasonably believe it is necessary, we may also report activity to the relevant authorities.

We aim to act proportionately and, where appropriate, to give you a chance to put things right, but we may act immediately to protect the safety, rights, or security of others.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
