Hot sand/water pockets near geothermal vents (can burn bare skin); rocky/uneven volcanic entry point requiring booties; occasional boat traffic from snorkel tour operators at the surface

Site lies within the Soufriere-Scotts Head Marine Reserve (SSMR); a nominal marine reserve user fee applies to all visitors, payable to wardens, the SSMR office, or bundled into operator trip costs
