Not a snorkel site - Not recommended for casual snorkelers given strong currents and immediate deep drop-off; experienced snorkelers only in calm conditions on the shallow rim

Strong, unpredictable currents; sheer wall with easy risk of exceeding planned depth; extremely remote (nearest medical care very far); weight-restricted charter flights to reach the atoll

Astove is a private outer island - access is only via Blue Safari's Astove Coral House lodge or an approved liveaboard/expedition booking; no independent/unauthorized diving
