Snorkelling

Not a snorkel site - Limited - mainly a boat/scuba site given depth, but the shallower crest areas are occasionally used for snorkelling trips on calm days from Sodwana operators

Safety notes

Busy site with heavy boat traffic from multiple operators; surf-zone launch/retrieval; currents can strengthen in summer; large reef area means dive briefings on which sub-site are important

Permits & fees

iSimangaliso Wetland Park gate/conservation fee (~R30 adult + R5 levy per person, waived with Wild Card except levy); vessel launch fee ~R100 per boat
