Snorkelling

Not a snorkel site - Limited - surface snorkeling possible around the rock in calm conditions but the site is primarily a scuba dive site due to depth and current

Safety notes

Strong/unpredictable currents around the pinnacle, surge in the chimney swim-through, boat traffic at the surface mooring/entry point, depth (some routes reach 30-40m)

Permits & fees

No government marine park entry fee (Sail Rock is outside the Ang Thong/Mu Koh national park fee zones); cost is bundled into the operator's day-trip price (roughly THB 4,200-4,700 / ~US$80 for a 2-dive day trip with equipment, transfers, lunch)
